We have realigned our operating segments as part of our continued efforts to better allocate key management resources and to focus on our core markets, such as our programmable products including our flagship PSoC® programmable system-on-chip solution and its derivatives, Universal Serial Bus (USB) including the high performance West Bridge solutions and our industry leading high performance SRAM memory solutions. Accordingly, beginning with the three months ended April 1, 2012, we have reported our financial results under the following business segments (Revenue & Gross Margin Trend):
As a result of the change in the structure of our business segments, the financial results we reported in prior periods under the old business segment structure have been recast to conform to the new segment presentation. This reclassification did not impact our previously reported consolidated revenues, operating income, net income, or earnings per share.
